Why nashifi exists

A few NAS users spent three years building a player for themselves.

Hundreds of gigabytes of music. Unlistenable.

We're Synology NAS users, just like you. Hundreds of gigabytes of music on our drives — FLAC masters, DSD live recordings, albums ripped from CD one by one. Thousands spent on the NAS, weeks spent organizing, all so we could hear it anytime.

Reality: the official app stopped two songs in. Switch networks, start over. Queue gone, position forgotten. The third-party apps we tried were either file managers in disguise or games of connection roulette.

The music was right there. We just couldn't listen in peace.

We waited for someone to fix it properly. Years passed. Nobody did. So we built it ourselves — and it took three years.

Three years, one thing

In those three years we didn't build a catalog, didn't build social features, didn't pile on functions. All the time went into one thing: once you press play, the music must not stop.

Tested in real subways, real garages, real elevators — every moment where cellular and Wi-Fi hand off. Switching apps, locking screens, dropping signal, re-authenticating — every moment that used to kill the music, solved one by one.

Because we built it for ourselves first. We listen to it on our own commutes every day.

Your music, always with you. Not a slogan — the life we wanted for ourselves.

02 / The Icon

The icon is the whole idea

Nothing cryptic. The three layers you see are the three things nashifi cares about.

Warm sand · Warmth

Like a record shelf you've built over the years, like the lamp in your living room at dusk. Your collection isn't cold files — it's your personal space. nashifi keeps it within reach.

Navy circle · Reliability

Like a lit window late at night, like the NAS you've trusted for years. It means: once you press play, the music won't stop unexpectedly.

White triangle · Play

The symbol the whole world knows: press, and it begins. Same with the product — nothing flashy, just playback done well enough to earn your complete trust.

Warmth meets reliability. That is nashifi.

What we believe · Do less, do it well

nashifi will never be the NAS music player with the most features — it was never meant to be. Feature lists can run long, but after you press play, only one thing truly matters: the music must not stop. Doing that one thing well honors your trust far more than a hundred mediocre features.

Give it a listen

Three years of care, packed into the second you press play.
